Alchemy Fused Glass: Expect the Unexpected.
Our group booked Alchemy as the main activity at our mentor circle offsite in Stillwater this September. We wanted something fresh, creative but also do-able for the not-so-great DIYer. Alchemy Fused Glass is exactly what we were looking for. Pat walks you through how simple it is to create beauty from broken glass. Some of us had reservations on safety and feasibility—you can kick any inhibitions to the curb. Cutting and shaping glass is not as scary or dangerous as one might thing. Our group walked away without a scratch; and instead with beautiful pieces we were truly proud of! The possibilities are endless with fused glass–wine bottle topper, night light or simple hanging glass piece. We all created a series of fused glass squares, some hanging some not. I personally created a sunflower jewelry dish for my sister. We brought our own snacks and wine for the occasion. I highly encourage you to step out of the Paint & Wine routine with Pat at Alchemy Fused Glass!

We hosted a Client Event with Pat and Phil at Alchemy Arts Studio and had a Wonderful evening. They made sure everyone had an enjoyable evening and kept us laughing throughout the night. They were also great to work with and made every accommodation they could to make the night memorable. Thanks for an amazing night!
I thoroughly enjoyed both classes I’ve taken at Alchemy Arts Studio. The first, with a large group, was entertaining, included a great overview of the fused glass process and was great hands-on fun. The second, with a smaller group working on an entirely different type of project, was also a wonderful experience and I learned a lot. Pat is so down-to-earth and knowledgeable. And Phil was a great MC for our large event.
We had a fairly large group of friends attend one of Pat’s classes. It was so much fun – she is a great teacher and her husband is a great entertainer. The time flew by.
This past weekend we celebrated two friends turning 50. We began our celebration at Alchemy Arts Studio in Stillwater. Pat and Phil did a tremendous job! They put forth so much effort and created a festive atmosphere – we could not have asked for more. The class was interesting. We actually LEARNED about the different processes and how different glassware is created. She made sure we had the proper instruction to enable us to be creative and safe as we made our glass projects. We all will definitely go back again!
Fused glass Classes:
“This class was a blast!”
Very relaxing and enjoyable. An excellent idea for ‘girls night out’ – although my husband enjoyed it too. Pat is a great teacher!
I was amazed at all the choices of projects she offered from very beginner to advanced/ fancy. I can’t wait to get the girls together and bring them to make garden flowers.
I had a WONDERFUL time at Alchemy Arts Studio with the Starter Class. I’ve never worked with glass before and was looking for something new and artistic to explore. I have a disability and need a rather forgiving art-form and peaceful, easy environment. Alchemy Arts is above and beyond, not just for me but I’d say just about anyone. Tea or coffee, a great blend of smooth tempo music in the background, and friendly company classmates made this just the experience I’ve hoped for and needed to reconnect to a peaceful place and artful-expression. Pat provided an introduction to the basic science of how glass works and comes together with our projects and some advanced techniques and a view of the kiln where our projects would eventually land. The studio is full of designs from suncatchers and jewelry to vases and bowls as well as supplies for glass artists. During the glass a couple people from other classes came in excited to pick-up their pieces fresh from the kiln, and it was interesting to see other projects from Pat’s other classes. I knew barely half-way into the class that I’d be thrilled to attend another, and bring my friends and my mom and some family coming into town. In addition, being in a wheelchair the studio was completely accessible and Pat was access-knowledgeable, aware, welcoming, and friendly. She was there to assist me in all ways I needed, including helping with tools and creative adaptability. I can’t thank her enough for making her studio, teaching, and fun flair so inclusively fun. Huge thanks!
Fun and Educational Experience. Pat is great! Would go weekly if I could! I think I found a retirement hobby!
This is a great studio to dive into projects big and small. The owner, Pat, has a supportive and positive attitude, and you will want to come back again and again to take what you learn to the next level. I highly recommend trying this medium as a new personal challenge if you are looking for something other than knitting or painting. Pat has all of the supplies necessary for successful projects; all you need to bring is your creativity and an open mind.
